I am excited to announce that I am participating in “Day on the Green at the Village” at Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa. It is a Juried Art Festival April 14, 2012, from 11 am until 4 pm. This is a great event for the whole family!!

Continue reading »]]> On February 4 I taught a Creativity Class, Creativity Released: Reawakening the Artist Inside of Us. It was held at the Journey Center here in Santa Rosa, CA. It was great!!! I am teaching this class again in the Summer. I will keep you posted.

I am also taking a beginning drawing class at the local Junior College. I am having a lot of fun. It is always good to re-visit the basics…..it makes you a better artist. Don’t feel like you can’t go back and take a basic class…..we can always improve!

We started the month out with an art show with Santa Rosa City at the Steele Lane Community Center (the show goes until February 23, 2012). It is located at 415 Steele Lane in Santa Rosa, CA. We had a great turnout at the Steele Lane show’s reception! A big “thank you” to everyone that came out!!!

Last Saturday, January 21, we had a combined artist reception with Photographer, William Church and Photographer, Richard Felton and myself….for our show at Johnny’s Java in Santa Rosa, CA. This is a continuing show at Johnny’s Java, located at 3080 Marlow Road (corner of Marlow and Piner).

I am getting ready to facilitate a workshop called, “Creativity Released: Reawakening the Artist Inside of You.” This is happening this coming Saturday, February 4, from 1pm to 5pm at the Journey Center, located at 1601 Fourth Street in downtown Santa Rosa, CA. This class is for you if you feel you have an artistic talent, but have buried it….or you just want to have a more meaningful artistic life. Continue reading »]]> Fall is here and it has been crazy busy!

Two weeks ago I participated in “The Great Petaluma Paint-Out.” We set up our easels and painted scenes around “Old Petaluma” all day. We ended the day with the art competition, good food and good music and good company. It was really enjoyable. I will be participating in the “Calistoga Paint-Out” on October 7 through 9th….will let you know how that goes.

Yesterday I turned my 4 paintings into the Harvest Fair competition. I saw some really beautiful entries….make sure you get over to the Harvest Fair to check it out!!! September 30 through October 2 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

I am selling my art cards at Best Wishes and Crystal Channels. If you need a nice original art “blank” card, stop in and pick one up.

I am very excited to facilitate my first “Creativity Released” class at the Journey Center in February. I will keep you posted!

Selecting the right email form script

Choosing the right email form script depends upon a few parameters:
1. The web server on which you run your web site.

PHP is configured on almost all Unix based web servers so you can choose to use a PHP based email form script if your web site is on an Apache server. Similarly if your web site is on an IIS server,you can use an ASP based form mail script.

Note that you can configure PHP to run on IIS also.
2. Features required

The scripts provide varying level of feature set.
3. Your comfort level for editing the script

For configuring the script, you will need to edit at least some parts of the script.

Continue reading »]]> The Display Posts Shortcode was written to allow users to easily display listings of posts without knowing PHP or editing template files.

Add the shortcode in a post or page, and use the arguments to query based on tag, category, post type, and many other possibilities (see the Arguments). I’ve also added some extra options to display something more than just the title: include_date, include_excerpt, and image_size.

See the WordPress Codex for information on using the arguments.

The image_size can be set to thumbnail, medium, large (all controlled from Settings > Reading), or a custom image size.
